Instruments

The Lisbon Agenda has facilitated many of the instruments that we use today: the Open Method of Coordination, the National Reform Programmes, the Key Issues Paper in preparation of the annual Spring Council, or, to be more specific: the ERA-NET scheme, Technology Platforms and Joint Technology Initiatives, Article 169 programmes, ESFRI, INCO-NET, OMC-NET, or soft measures such as the Mobility Portals or the ERAWATCH website, the Helsinki Group on Women and Science, or the European Research Council - another powerful funding instrument, and, most recently, the EIT.
