KIRAS, the Austrian Security Research Programme, supports research projects whose results contribute to increasing security for all members of society in terms of ensuring a high standard of living and opportunities for development. The funding activities are focused on the protection of critical infrastructure. The catalogue of measures ranges from networking and exploration and cooperative RTD projects to component development and demonstration. Applications can be submitted by scientists, university and non-university research institutions based in Austria, commercial enterprises with a production or research facility based in Austria, and technology transfer institutions.
