Museums are important institutions of non-university research. The forMUSE research programme aims at strengthening, developing, and assuring the quality of research in Austrian museums. Further obectives of the programme are internationalisation, enhancing the visibility of research in Austrian museums, and creating consistency in research cooperation and networking.
