PFEIL 10 (2006-2010) is the programme for research and development of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management. It forms a framework for research and development for the federal offices and research institutions under the responsibility of this Ministry, and for research funding in this area. The programme aims at contributing to a high quality of life in Austria with regard to the preservation and responsible use of natural resources, soil, water, air, energy and biodiversity. Further research topics covered by the programme are the preservation of urban environments, sustainable production of secure and high quality food, and renewable resources.
