Translational Research Programme

The objective of this programme is funding extended or oriented basic research at the interface to applied research, based on the results of the applicant's own basic research, or for projects at the interface between the arts and science, based on the applicant's own artistic work. Projects should be directed towards concrete applications and/or to an economic, societal or cultural application that still has to be developed.
The programme promotes the cooperation between scientists at universities and scientists at non-university research institutions or other higher education institutions, with the aims of using synergies with regard to personnel and infrastructure and improving cooperation in connection with the training of doctoral students. The programme is open to scientists of any discipline working in Austria.
