created on 24 Oct 2011
Expert group study on international knowledge transfer (IKT)
The study offers an overview of basic IKT statistics, IKT Business, practices of public research organisations (PROs) and obstacles to effective KT. In addition, it covers IKT agreements, interactive tools and support measures. The study concludes that IKT activities prerequisite IP management, R&D strategies, entrepreneurship and international networks. It stresses the importance of contextual factors and international networks ('trust and personal contacts matter'). Finally there is a need for tailored IP clauses in agreements and professionalization of TTOs.
