In 2002 Austrian researchers and scientists working in the field of climate research and climate impact research joined forces with the launch of the "Climate Research Initiative AustroClim". This initiative aimes to meet the challenges of climate change with interdisciplinary cooperation and to support political, economic and personal decisions by providing a scientific knowledge base.
