Provision for Nature and Society
The national research programme proVision is part of the Austrian research initiative for sustainable development (FORNE). It supports the implementation of the strategic goal for a "Sustainable Austria". proVision uses a work programme developed by a bottom-up process involving scientists and other stakeholders directly. It supports research in the fields of climate change, sustainable development, ecosystem services, and spatial and
regional development.
Duration and Budget:
2004-2006 1st phase (€ 12.1 million)
2007-2009 2nd phase (to be decided)
2010-2013 3rd phase (to be decided)
