Evaluation
Evaluation is important in terms of allowing for more efficient and more effective investments in research and innovation in Europe. In their work programme, the Trio Presidencies have announced that they will "...further develop steps leading to an evaluation culture, including foresight studies and impact assessments, in particular ex-post impact assessments, covering all relevant key research policy measures in the ERA". Currently several evaluation studies are being carried out, both on European and national level, such as e.g. the FP7 Interim Evaluation, or the Austrian Framework Programme impact evaluation.
