Key Enabling Technologies
The European Commission has launched a process to identify Key enabling technologies (KETs) aiming at strenthening the industrial and innovation capacity of the EU. KETs are strategically important because they contibute to solving societal challenges, they have high economic potential, and they are knowledge-intensive. So far, there has been no common understanding and no coherent strategy for KETs on European level.
