Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies are approaches to research and development that concern the study of phenomena and manipulation of materials at atomic, molecular and macromolecular scale. They have the potential to create many new materials and devices. Advances across a wide range of sectors are being enabled through research, development and innovation in this field and they may contribute to the European Union’s competitiveness and sustainable development objectives.
