PSF starts Peer Review of Maltese R&I system

The European Commission's Policy Support Facility (PSF) has published a fact sheet on the Peer Review that is being carried out for the Maltese research and innovation (R&I) system. The Peer Review aims at supporting Malta’s efforts to support R&I capacity building and improve the dynamics of the R&I system and the efficiency of current public investments in R&I.
The main questions of the Peer Review are the following:
- Does Malta have adequate and appropriate policies in place to achieve its R&I goals (including comparisons of policies for research and for innovation)?
- Does Malta have adequate and appropriate structures and resources in place (including questions regarding coordination and communication)?
- Does Malta have adequate and appropriate measures and instruments (including monitoring and evaluation) in place to foster the Maltese R&I ecosystem?
Results of the Peer Review are expected in spring 2019. It is expected that the results of the exercise will feed into the development of the new R&I strategy post-2020.
