Eurostat: GDP up by 0.3% in euro area and 0.4% in EU28
Eurostat, the European statistics office, has published its flash estimate for the second quarter of 2018. According to Eurostat, the gross domestic product (GDP) has risen by 0.3% in the euro area and 0.4% in the EU28 compared to the previous quarter. By comparison with the second quarter of 2017, the increase amounted to 2.1% for the euro area and 2.2% for the EU28. In the first quarter of 2018, GDP had grown by 0.4% in both the euro area and the EU28.
