EIT extends call for new members of EIT Governing Board
In August 2019, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) launched the selection procedure for up to eight new members of its Governing Board. The initial expiry date for the call for expressions of interest was 7 October 2019. The deadline has now been extended to 23:59hrs on 21 October 2019.
Members of the Governing Board have a four-year, non-renewable mandate, and Members are appointed in a personal capacity, acting independently and in the public interest. Following the closure of the Call, a Steering Committee will evaluate the submissions and interview the highest-scored candidates. The Steering Committee will then prepare a shortlist of candidates to be proposed as new members. The EIT Governing Board will assess and approve the shortlist and transmit it to the European Commission.
