EIT announces winners of 2019 EIT Awards
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has announced the winners of this year's EIT Awards. The winners were selected from a total of 19 nominees and received the prize for their outstanding innovations in the fields of climate, energy and health. They were presented at the INNOVEIT Conference in Budapest on 15 October 2019: Michael Dittel, LeafTech (Germany), Marc Julien, Diabeloop (France), Matthew Dickson, CorPower Ocean (Sweden/United Kingdom), Sara Guimarães Gonçalves, Trigger.Systems (Portugal), and David Pistoni Perez, Zeleros (Spain).
Michael Dittel, LeafTech (Germany) and supported by EIT Climate-KIC won the€ 20.000,- EIT CHANGE Award for top graduates from EIT education programmes. Marc Julien, Diabeloop (France), and supported by EIT Health, won the € 50.000,- EIT Innovators Award for teams with high impact products and services. Matthew Dickson, CorPower Ocean based in Sweden and supported by EIT InnoEnergy, won the € 50.000,- EIT Venture Award for successful entrepreneurial start-ups and scale-ups. Sara Guimarães Gonçalves, Trigger.Systems (Portugal) and supported by EIT InnoEnergy, won the € 20.000,- EIT Woman Award for outstanding women innovators. David Pistoni Perez, Zeleros (Spain) and supported by EIT Climate-KIC, won the EIT Public Award which recognises the public’s top innovation with thousands of votes cast across Europe.
