LERU submits requests to EC on H2020 projects and impact of Corona crisis
LERU, the League of European Research Universities, has sent a note outlining its requests to the European Commission regarding the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on Horizon 2020 projects. The not was published on 29 May 2020.
In its note, LERU states that most research activities have been put on hold following the outbreak of the Covid-19 crisis, including research undertaken for projects funded by Horizon 2020. The association's most important request to the EC is to grant cost extensions for H2020 projects that have been put on hold. Other requests include the eligibility of staff costs impacted by Covid-19, allowing beneficiaries sufficient time to gather information on the impact of Covid-19 restrictions on ongoing projects and devising the relevant contingency measures.
