GENDERACTIONplus publishes new recommendations on intersectionality and inclusion and on supporting NCPs

GENDERACTIONplus has published two new position papers: 'A new ERA of Inclusion and Intersectionality' and 'Supporting gender expertise among NCPs for better results on inclusive gender analysis in R&I in Horizon Europe'.

The first policy brief presents recommendations for European policymakers, national authorities, and research funding organisations (RFO) on positioning intersectionality and inclusion higher on the agenda and making it an integral part of the work for gender equality, inclusion, and diversity in Higher Education and Research and Innovation (HE and R&I) throughout the European Research Area (ERA). HE and R&I policies in Europe are only beginning to reflect the field of inclusion and intersectionality.

The second policy brief aims at supporting gender expertise among NCPs for better results on inclusive gender analysis in R&I in HORIZON EUROPE.

GENDERACTIONplus is a Horizon Europe project which aims to contribute to the coordination of gender equality and inclusiveness objectives of the new European Research Area through the development of two Communities of Practice, one consisting of national authorities and the second of representatives of Research Funding Organisations.

The GENDERACTIONplus project develops strategic policy advice, enhances the policy-making process through engaging with stakeholders, civil society organisations and citizens, builds capacities for gender equality and mainstreaming in research and innovation and creates impact through communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities.

In total, the project will prepare 12 policy briefs to deliver the findings and recommendations to GENDERACTIONplus target audiences to improve gender equality policies and their impact in the ERA and individual Member States and Associated Countries.
