The new student: flexible learning paths and future learning environments

The number of so-called “non-traditional students” is growing in Europe. Institutions are responding to this trend, and therefore Europe’s higher education systems are undergoing fundamental change. Flexible learning is one way to address these shifts. The aim of the conference is to discuss current trends in the European higher education systems, and to present innovative and sustainable examples of strategy and policy implementation. Moreover, it will deal with the question how national governments and the European Union can provide assistance in this task.
