Krysztof Kuik takes office as new director of Clean Planet Directorate
The Directorate-General for Research and Innovation has updated its organisational structure with key leadership changes in its directorates and units.
Krzysztof Kuik has taken up his position as Director of Directorate C 'Clean Planet', succeeding Rosalinde van der Vlies. The directorate is responsible for EU research and innovation policy on climate, environment, energy and mobility, and also includes the Euratom Research unit. Mr. Kuik joins DG RTD from the Directorate-General for Competition, where he previously served as Head of Unit.
In addition, DG RTD has appointed a new Head of Unit in the Common Knowledge & Data Management Service. Lara Passante now leads Unit H5 'Common Knowledge & Data Management Service'. She brings extensive experience from the European Research Executive Agency (REA), where she also held the position of Head of Unit.
