Public consultation on European Partnerships to be implemented as joint undertakings in Horizon Europe is closing soon

The European Commission launched a public consultation on European Partnerships to be implemented as joint undertakings under Horizon Europe 2028-2034. This consultation will close on 16 October 2026.

To strengthen the impact of European Partnerships, the Horizon Europe 2028-2034 proposal suggests streamlining implementation modes and using a portfolio approach to identify a limited set of coherent partnerships, with objectives closely aligned with the European Competitiveness Fund. Under this initiative, some European Partnerships will be implemented as joint undertakings in accordance with Article 187 TFEU, with clear added value, through a single establishing act with harmonised rules.

Input will be taken into account as the Commission further develops and fine-tunes this initiative.
