Interim Assessment of Proviso,– the Austrian Project for Monitoring Participation in FP7

In the context of the preparations for Horizon 2020, several studies were commissioned to produce recommendations about improving the quality and relevance of the activities of the Austrian support system for the European Framework Programmes. Among these was the “Evaluation of Austrian Support Structures for FP 7 & Eureka and Impact Analysis of EU Research Initiatives on the Austrian Research & Innovation System”, carried out in 2010.

In 2012, this was followed by an interim assessment of Proviso, the Austrian project for monitoring participation in FP 7. The PROVISO project was funded by the then Federal Ministry of Science and Research, the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology, the former Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management). The interim assessment analysed the context, governance, structure and output of the project and provided recommendations both for the current project and for monitoring within the next Framework Programme Horizon 2020.
