Competitiveness Council

01DESCRIPTION

The Research Part of the Competitiveness Council will take place on 28 September 2021. Research ministers will be invited to adopt Council Conclusions on Europe´s future strategy for international cooperation.

Then the Ministers will exchange views on the future governance and implementation of the European Research Area (ERA).

Under AOB, Ministers will be informed by the presidency on the state of play regarding Institutionalised European Partnerships, the conference "Deepening the ERA Through Gender Equality" and the „Ljubljana Declaration on Gender Equality in Research and Innovation“. Finally the Commission will brief delegations on the association of 3rd countries to Horizon Europe.
