Informal Meeting of Research Ministers 16-17 July 2025

On 16-17 July, EU research ministers, selected associated countries and the European Commission will gather to discuss the contribution of research and innovation to the European competitiveness, including the importance of critical technologies.
The Informal Ministerial Meeting of Research Ministers will feature two major policy discussions: On 16 July, the focus will be on the importance of critical technologies and their crucial role in boosting the European competitiveness. On July 16, the programme includes a visit to the Niels Bohr Institute followed by a reception. The day concludes with a dinner in the Ceremonial Hall at the University of Copenhagen with representatives from Danish educational and research institutions as well as other research stakeholders.
On 17 July, ministers will discuss research and innovation in the EU's upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), in particular the framework programme for research and innovation.
