MSCA programme opens €593 million call in doctoral programmes and research
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme has launched a new funding call worth €593 million for doctoral training and research. The European Commission announced that this funding will support more than 130 doctoral programmes, creating opportunities for over 2,000 doctoral researchers to gain employment, training, and valuable skills.
These Doctoral Networks bring together organisations from across Europe and other parts of the world to run doctoral programmes in all areas of science. Their main goal is to train highly qualified PhD candidates and improve their long-term career prospects.
A new feature of this year’s call is the introduction of RAISE Doctoral Networks for AI in Science. This pilot initiative offers extra funding for projects that use artificial intelligence in scientific research.
Applications can be submitted until 24 November 2026. Interested applicants are also invited to join an online information session about the call on 3 June 2026.
